If you couldn’t tell from listening to her, Cyndi was born in #Brooklyn & grew up in #Queens. As a child, she listened to such artists as The Beatles & Judy Garland. At age 12, she began writing songs & playing an acoustic guitar given to her by her sister. She expressed herself with a variety of hair colors & eccentric clothing, & took a friend’s advice to spell her name as “Cyndi” rather than “Cindy”.
